Your four-legged friends are welcome
A pet-friendly Camping Village in the Gargano
Nature lovers often travel with their four-legged companions, who are part of the family in every respect. For this reason, Villaggio Turistico Calenella is a pet-friendly Camping Village in the Gargano, where guests can enjoy their holiday together with their dogs. Inside the Camping Village there is a dedicated dog area, where pets can run and play safely. All we ask — not from them, but from their owners — is to respect the following rules to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone.
Dog Regulations
-
1.
The presence of pets must be declared at the time of booking and upon arrival, and must be authorised by the Management.
-
2.
At check-in, dog owners must present the dog’s health booklet showing proof of vaccinations.
-
3.
According to Italian law, dogs must always be kept on a leash during walks (maximum length 150 cm) and owners must carry a muzzle. For dogs classified as potentially dangerous, the muzzle must be worn at all times. In any case, dogs considered dangerous or reported as such by the competent authorities may be removed from the Camping Village at the discretion of the Management.
-
4.
Dogs must be accompanied outside the camping area or to the designated dog area for their needs. Owners must immediately remove waste using appropriate bags.
-
5.
Owners must ensure that their dog does not enter other guests’ pitches or accommodation areas.
-
6.
Dogs that bark excessively or behave aggressively may not be allowed to remain in the Camping Village.
-
7.
Pets are not allowed inside sanitary facilities, the swimming pool, the market, the playground, the lawn area near the tennis courts or the beach shuttle service (unless transported in a suitable carrier).
-
8.
Dogs must never be left unattended or allowed to roam freely. The owner is fully responsible for any damage caused by their animal.
-
9.
Dogs are allowed on the beach if kept on a leash and under their owner’s beach umbrella, unless otherwise stated by the regulations of the Puglia Regional Beach Ordinance. Owners must ensure that their pets do not disturb other guests.
